Is there an "old" and "new" Sybian?
« on: April 27, 2017, 06:21:17 PM »
Are there any major differences in an older model Sybian and a newer model? For example, did they every change the size of the motor? If so, was there a noticeable difference in experience? If I put my girlfriend on a new Sybian and let's say a model made in 2005, would she be able to tell the difference? Thanks for any and all responses.

I don't believe they changed the motors, but they have changed the boards that control them.  The newer models use a dual KBIC-240 board that allows 120V and 240V (US and European voltages).  As they stated on their website, any serial number that starts with 10 Million has these boards in them.

To address your actual question, though, no, she shouldn't see any difference.

I believe they also changed the attachment points to be compatible with the risers. Prior to the 10 Million serial numbers, you cannot use the risers.
